Explosion-proof luminaires (ATEX)

Explosion-proof luminaires (ATEX) are intended for industrial and potentially explosive areas where a conventional luminaire may not be suitable. This category includes Prolumen Matrix, Prolumen Elegance EX and Northcliffe Barat EX type luminaires, which are used for general lighting of work areas, production rooms and technical zones.

When making a selection, consider the size of the room, the installation location and the required amount of light. In the visible product names, the models have different luminous flux and power, as well as IP65 or IP66 protection class; this helps compare which luminaire is suitable for a more compact area and which for lighting a larger work surface.

A luminaire marked EX and explosion-proof is useful when the lighting must operate in a demanding environment and be selected according to the safety requirements of the site.
