Modernize Your Home Decor with LED Strips!

Layered lighting is one of the main lighting trends of 2023, and the best way to follow this trend is by using LED lights. LED lights allow for various installation methods and are suitable for almost every room in the home and even outdoors. Thanks to a wide selection of profiles, LED strips can be installed in hard-to-reach places, creating clean and minimalist lighting solutions.

One of the main bathroom trends, for example, is backlighting mirrors, which can be easily achieved with LED strips. The world of LEDs is constantly evolving, and today, uniform light LED strips have been developed, without visible points of light. These have won the hearts of many designers due to their clear and distinct lines of light.
Despite their modest and minimalist appearance, LED lights are very powerful and can easily illuminate an entire room when installed properly. Alternatively, they can be successfully used to highlight specific parts of a room, such as an artwork or a piece of furniture.
LED strips are perfect as mood lighting that can be adjusted warmer or cooler, or the brightness can be regulated according to the time of day. This makes them ideal for workspaces and offices. For special solutions, one can use colored RGB and RGBW LED strips, which can be controlled via remote control or wall panel. The selected light tone can be static or flashing.

With LED strips, it's possible to create shapes or write sentences to make the interior more personalized. As mentioned, LED strips are suitable for all rooms in the home as well as for outdoor use. They can effectively illuminate flowerbeds and plants, and even the yard or the façade of the house.
How to install LED strips?

Installing LED strips is very easy and can be done by anyone. However, there are some important things to keep in mind:
  • When choosing LED strips, make sure the product has the correct IP rating. Since LED strips generate heat, they need to be installed within an aluminum profile for cooling. A cover for the profile is also needed for protection.
  • LED strips require a power supply unit. Therefore, you need to consider where to place these power supply units – definitely not inside the wall or between insulation. The power supply unit heats up and requires ventilation.
  • Also, think about how you want to control the LED strips: using a wall switch, remote control, wall panel, etc. Do you want to dim them as well?
Installing LED strips involves several steps: first, install the profile, then attach the LED strip to it. Next, connect the strip to the power supply unit and then to 230V power. Lastly, make sure to install the cover onto the profile.
